2603. Bakening Volcano

Time: from July to September
Duration: 15 days/14 nights

The program of the tour
1 day	Arrival in the airport Yelizovo. Transfer by bus to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, accommodation in the hotel or in the hot spring resort area Paratunka.
2 day	Transfer from P-K to Puschino Settlement (6 hour drive). Camping, rest, having a bath in the local hot springs. Supper, sleep in tents.
3 day	Breakfast at 8.30, starting the trekking, dinner break at 14.00. Trekking to the valley intermediate camp, camping, supper, sleep in tents.
4 day	Breakfast at 8.30, trekking to the foot of Bakening Volcano along a beautiful mountain river. Dinner break. Radial trekking to the lake situated in the hollow between mountains at the height 1200m. Return to the camp, supper, sleep in tents.
5 day	Breakfast at 8.30, making the ascent of the extinct volcano Bakening, snacking during the breaks. From the top of the volcano one can see an impressive panorama of Avachinskaya Volcanic Group, Zhupanovski and Kronotski Volcanoes. Six mountain lakes are situated at the slopes of Bakening: Dalneye, Medvezhye, Verkhne-Avachinskoye, Vysokoye and Maliye Lakes. Huge lava flows of Novo-Bakening are situated in the northeastern part. Return to the camp, supper, sleep.
6 day	Breakfast at 8.30, trekking. Dinner break, trekking along the lakes and rivers. Camping at 19.00, rest, supper, sleep.
7 day	Breakfast at 8.30, trekking along the rivers. Dinner break. Rest, having a bath in hot springs. Supper, sleep.
8 day	Rest day. Breakfast. Walking to the outcomes of mineral drinking water, watching waterfalls. Dinner break. Having a bath in hot springs. Supper, sleep.
9 day	Breakfast at 8.30, trekking along the rivers. Dinner break. Trekking to the Timonovski Reserve Camp. Camping, rest, supper, sleep.
10 day	Breakfast at 8.30, trekking. Dinner break, trekking. Return to the hotel at 19.00 or to the hot spring resort area Paratunka. Rest.
11 day	Leaving the hotel at 10.00 for a cruise in Avachinskaya Bay. The cruise includes the travel by cater to Starichkov Island, watching seabird colonies and marine mammals, fishing, making a fish-soup aboard, a walk in the island. Return to the hotel at 18.00.
12 day	Transfer to the foot of Mutnovski Volcano, excursion to Mutnovskaya Geothermal Power Station. Transfer, camping, supper, rest, sleep in tents.
13 day	Breakfast. Excursion to the crater of active Mutnovski Volcano, snacking during the trip, return to the camp. Supper. Transfer to P-K.
14 day	Free day. Ordering the extra excursions
15 day	Departure.

The cost of the program includes: all transport expenses on the program, service of a guide-interpreter and a cook on the route, meals on the route, accommodation in tents, using care mats, excursion program, insurance.

The cost does not include: the air flight tickets to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and back, the services and the excursions extra the program.

A tourist is required to have individually for the trip in the area mentioned: a backpack (100 liters at least), tracking boots (+ robber boots) and pools, windproof, water resistant (rain coat) and warm clothes (including gloves, hats, warm socks), a sleeping bag, glasses to provide UV protection. It is also necessary to have anti-mosquito repellents and sun-burn prevention and relief, individual hygienic accessories, a set of table ware, an individual medicine set, a pocket flash. Photo and video cameras are recommended ultimately.
