The program includes a review excursion around Avachinskaya Bay and a visit to Starichkov Island. This small plot of land is inhabited by colonies of seabirds, including tufted puffins, slaty-backed gulls, cormorants, guillemots, black-legged kittiwakes; the colonies are situated on the rocky slopes of the island.  The waters around the island have been often visited by killer whales (orcas) and curious sea lions or harbor seals, the latter often use to escort people in the course of landing.  Sport fishing and making a fresh fish-soup aboard the ship is a nice experience to get an insight about sea inhabitants of Kamchatka!

The cruise around Avachinskaya Bay

This 3 hour marine cruise goes within one of the most beautiful and convenient bays in the world , which is Àvachinskaya Bay. A cater or a motor ship pass  by Nikolskaya Sopka, the harbor Tikhaya, the island Babushkin Kamen, the cape Stanitskiy and legendary rocks called by local people "Three Brothers" and situated exactly in the mouth to the bay. The legend says, that long ago these rocks were three nice youths from one of local tribes lived on the cost of Avachinskaya Bay. The people of the tribe  were suffering much from giant waves, so the hero brothers decided once to protect their people from the waves: they stood  in the mouth of the bay and safeguarded it with their strong bodies.  This way the rocky brothers are staying till nowadays,  crushing the waves.
