Volcanoes of Kamchatka. Mountain-mass, the Vachcarszets

The highest peak of this mountain-mass is 1556m. above sea level. It is located in the western part of the peninsula (80km. from the town). This mountain-mass and its neighborhoods are one of the most beautiful places of the primary nature of Kamchatka. In ancient time the Vachcarszets was the only one volcano, but due to a powerful eruption it blew up. This event led to a division of the mountain-mass into three principal parts: the Summer Diametrical (1417m. above sea level), the Vachcarszets (1500m. above sea level) and the Vachcarszets itself. There are two large volcanic circuses in the Summer Diametrical district. They, evidently, are the rests of the large single volcano.

Uniqueness of this place consists in its universalness: the district is as good for tracking as for admiring birds, flowers and skiing in winter season.
